Seymour Johnson AFB and Dare County Range JLUS Study Area

Seymour Johnson AFB is located on 3,300 acres in the southeast section of the City of Goldsboro within Wayne County. The Dare County Range, located in Dare County, is approximately 150 miles east of Seymour Johnson AFB. The JLUS Study Area encompasses land in the vicinity of Seymour Johnson AFB and the Dare County Range including the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge; areas of overflight subject to military operations including Beaufort County, Bertie County, Hyde County, Tyrrell County, Washington County, and the city of Washington; and towns and communities impacted by or having actual or potential adverse impacts on military operations.
