Public Workshop #3 Scheduled for the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base and Dare County Range Joint Land Use Study
SAVE THE DATES: March 13-16, 2017
The North Carolina Department of Commerce Rural Economic Development Division is hosting the third Public Workshop for the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base (AFB) and Dare County Range Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) on March 13-16, 2017.
Please join the JLUS development Team at this workshop to review, discuss, and comment on the Public Draft of the JLUS. Documentation includes the project background, compilation of the compatibility issues, and recommended strategies to address compatibility.
The goal of the JLUS is to protect the viability of current and future missions at Seymour Johnson AFB and Dare County Range, while accommodating community growth, sustaining the economic health of the northeast North Carolina region and protecting public health, welfare and safety.
In order to develop a plan that is responsive to local needs, input from the community is essential! The public is encouraged to join us at this workshop to learn more and participate in this planning study.
